If you’re getting a little weary of the weekly Zoom sessions with extended members of the family, then we might just have the perfect excuse to take a rain-check.
For the stars of Gavin and Stacey are getting in on the video call action.
And tomorrow night, Alice Steadman – aka Gavin’s mum Pam Shipman – will be taking the reins for Marie Curie’s latest celebrity quiz at 8.15pm.
So far, the charity has seen a series of famous faces lead fans down memory lane all while raising money for a great cause; including Claire Richards from Steps with her Back to the 90s quiz, a Eurovision quiz from Mel Giedroyc, and Paul Chuckle’s Kids Trivia quiz.
Now, Alison will reunite with on-screen son Matthew Horne and test the public on their knowledge of the hit show that won two British Academy Television Awards (BAFTAs).
Spilling the beans on This Morning, Alison opened up to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the event.
She said: “At the time that we are living in, charities are all losing money.
“And Marie Curie needs to make £2.5million a week to keep nine hospices going, and all their amazing nurses.
“So, they came up with this idea and I said: ‘Yes, of course I’ll do it.’”
When pressed by Phillip over whether any special guests might be joining her, willing her to reveal the exclusive live on ITV, she caved.
Alison added: “I was going to keep it a secret, but then I thought no it would be great if everyone knew, so my little prince also known as Matt Horne will be joining me.”
To take part, people are encouraged to donate £5 to Marie Curie – who provide care and support for people living with or affected by terminal illness.
So far, an impressive £10.8k has been raised at the time of publication.
