We’re all familiar with the trinket stalls, world-class street food and smell of incense floating in Camden Market, though there’s one gem you might not be so familiar with.
The London location is now introducing live music by candlelight at The Stables Market, near Chalk Farm station, with seats all at a socially acceptable 2m apart.
Simply named ‘Candlelight Open Air’, the outdoor event will see a series of intimate classical concerts as guests are invited to soak up the last of the summer sunshine.
Kickstarting on August 28, and taking place over several dates, a collection of awe-inspiring pieces from classic and modern composers, including memorable pieces from movie soundtracks, will be played over two performances of either 7pm or 9pm.
If you’re feeling flush, you can nab yourself a Band A ticket for £30 which guarantees great visibility.
However, if you’re on a budget, grab the Band B, C or D tickets instead ranging from £15 to £25, though be warned there will be restricted view.
Camden Market has been flying the flag for the public to return some sense of normalcy after the global pandemic outbreak, as one of the first places to reopen after lockdown.
However, despite resuming business on June 1, it looks like the tourist hotspot may have to wait a little longer for its much-awaited tube station revamp as Mayor Sadiq Khan says it is no longer in the budget plan given the current squeeze on financial projects.
