Build confidence and find joy for kids with new self-esteem bible

New book packed with positive messages to build confidence and boost resilience.

A book for kids is paving the stepping stones of self-belief before they hit ‘big school’.

The colourful creation is packed with over 150 positive messages to inspire kindness, build confidence, find joy, and boost resilience.

Thanks to artist Nikki Miles joining forces with award-winning children’s books publisher Nosy Crow, the team have created the self-esteem bible.

Aptly named Be Kind, Be Cool, Be You, the book is filled with uplifting quotes and wise words to help young (and old!) people feel comfy in their skin.

Promoting wellbeing is not only known to increase self-worth but also help productivity at school, while helping physical, behavioural, social, and cognitive areas to grow.

Posting about the October 1 release on Instagram, Nikki wrote: “It was an absolute dream to work on, and illustrating every single page filled me with happiness!”

She added: “I really hope you like the book, it’s just perfect for anyone who needs to feel uplifted and reassured in some way.”

Empowering quotes speckled across the rainbow and doodle-filled pages include, ‘Be the positive energy that you want to attract,’ ‘You don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it,’ and, ‘Slow progress is better than no progress’.

The UK illustrator – whose star is rising, with a cool 40k followers on Instagram – also sells her mood-lifting sketches on other items including stickers and postcards.

Her tiny team of two includes Nikki and fiancé Matt, with a little extra help from their fluffy British Blue cat assistant, Luna.

The London-based duo are on a mission to not only make people smile, but also make sustainable products by using local eco-friendly materials wherever possible.
