If you’re itching to Google ‘things to do in London’ once lockdown lifts, then look no further.
Roof East promises to deliver in activity, flavour, booze and banter. So, what’s not to love?!
Priding itself on being the city’s biggest outdoor playground, the Stratford venue is set to fling open its doors from April 12 across 30,000 square foot of pure entertainment.
First and foremost, as you prepare to toast your newfound freedom, you won’t even need to worry about queuing – as there is no bar service! All ordering is done via an app with your drinks brought directly to your table once ordered. How’s that for a VIP experience.
With a glorious cocktail menu boasting classic Aperol Spritz, gin and elderflower based English Garden Party, and bourbon-rich Gerry’s Iced Tea, there really is a little something for everyone.
If you’re planning a long sesh and need to line your stomachs, then there’s plenty of grub to choose from in the guise of top-quality street food traders.
Notably, there’s Cheeky Burger with mouth-watering options for carnivores and vegans; East Side Pizza dishing up sourdough bases and obscenely good crusts; and Kolkati who vow to transport you to India while packing a punch with their authentic cuisine.
Though if you’ve done enough indulging over quarantine and would prefer something a little more active, fear not. There are games galore while you soak up the rays.
Personally, we can’t wait to play with balls at Birdies, the rooftop crazy golf course decked out against a jungle backdrop to test speed and accuracy for that hole in one.
There’s also Sluggers, offering a traditional game of bowls with lanes that guarantee to be a vibrant oasis of colour, complete with fairy lights and strobes.
For those keen to groove but hoping for something a little more zen, there will also be yoga and an open-air film club with the full schedule of screenings to be announced soon.
See you in the sunshine!
