Their colours and shapes might light up a room, but the price of flowers compared to how long they last can often feel like it’s not really worth it.
But gone are the days of splashing out to chuck them out a few days later.
Say hello to Little Ant, dried flower extraordinaire who provide beautiful gifts that can last up to 400 times (400!) longer than fresh bouquets.
Not only do they have a longer lifespan, they are also extremely affordable coming in at almost half the price of fresh flower deliveries.
The brainchild of Hannah Jackson, she combines the sleek style of contemporary and modern home décor with sustainable produce for a greener world – notably with thermal printing and non-plastic packaging across all items.
While Hannah always had a passion for floristry, homeware and interiors, she kickstarted her journey importing furniture and working in the events industry in Australia.
However, after seven years in Oz, Hannah felt a ‘sign’ that she needed to return to her native UK.
Once home, Hannah discovered what that ‘sign’ was – she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
It was this life-changing news, alongside the national lockdown, that incentivised her to create Little Ant as she was determined to turn her situation into a positive one.
Speaking about her mission, Hannah said she hopes to be a little bit wild and a little bit different.
Hannah explained: “Little Ant has been in the background of my life for a few years now but when Covid hit and work slowed down, I thought it was time to stop procrastinating, bite the bullet and do it.
“Inspired by nature and passionate about sustainability, Little Ant offers a fair and ethical gifting collection with sustainability at the core of its DNA.”
Hannah continued: “All products have been carefully sourced to ensure it has minimal impact on the environment and promotes the health of our planet.
“All of our flowers are dried and preserved, supplying natural flowers only and all dyes are organic.”
Her beautiful collection includes bunches such as Peachy Keen, Ruby Roo, Vanilla, and perhaps our favourite, Tickled Pink.
